If your pet experiences an emergency outside our regular hours, we recommend contacting the nearest 24-hour emergency hospital.

Signs Your Pet May Need Emergency Care

Contact us immediately if your pet is experiencing any of the following:

  • Pale gums
  • Rapid breathing
  • Weak or rapid pulse
  • Sudden change in body temperature
  • Difficulty standing or walking
  • Apparent paralysis
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Excessive or uncontrolled bleeding

Poison Ingestion

If you believe your pet has ingested something toxic:

  • Call us during business hours
  • After hours, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center

    (A consultation fee may apply)

ASPCA’s veterinary toxicologists will assess the situation based on what your pet may have consumed, their age, weight, and medical history, and advise you on what to do next.
